On Communication: Why Complete and Return Our Census Form?

Don’t wait for an emergency when it comes to providing management with your contact information.

What is the Census Form (Emergency Contact Form)?

The Census Form, also referred to as the “emergency contact form,” is a form our management team uses to collect and update essential information and communication preferences for all current and new residents. It is also used to collect contact information which may be used for day-to-day communications, newsletters, and/or emergency notifications.

Who Should Complete the Census Form?

All current and new homeowners and shareholders should complete and return the form. Additionally, if any information has changed, residents should resubmit the form.

We provide this form to all new owners and shareholders at in-house closings. However, if your closing did not take place in our office, please complete a census.

Please Note:
If you are a tenant or subletter, you may complete the form, just be sure to specify on the form that you are not the owner or shareholder.

Who Should Not Complete a Census Form?

If you have or will be moving out of a co-op, condo, or HOA that we manage, you do not need to complete a census. However, please contact management to let our team know you are moving so that we can un-enroll you in any communications, etc..

Why Does Management Need Your Contact Information?

Our management team may need to communicate with homeowners, shareholders, and residents regarding upcoming projects, service interruptions (i.e.- water shutoffs, repairs, etc.), or emergencies. The information we collect with this form is essential in this effort.

Opt-In to All Digital Communications: Providing your information to management, and opting-in to communications will help us to communicate quickly as needed.

Why Residents Should Opt-In to All Forms of Communication:

Depending on which tools your community uses, we may send out physical mail, emails, and/or robocalls and texts. Therefore, we recommend that you opt-in to all communication options when completing the form. This will allow us to enroll you in any and all methods that your community employs to communicate.

Email Bonus:
In addition to day-to-day communications, we also periodically send all email subscribers helpful home tips, guides and more, so we recommend subscribing to emails to benefit from these resources.

How to Avoid Communications from Going to Spam:

Unfortunately, management has no control over whether your email or phone provider deems our communications as “spam,” though we do our best on our end to curtail this. For more information on this topic, view our article on managing your spam preferences.

Is Opting-in to Communications Other Than Physical Mail Optional?

Yes, though we strongly recommend enrolling in texts, emails, and robocalls as well. This will help us to deliver important communications regarding your community.

Unsubscribe Anytime:
You can unsubscribe at any point if you no longer wish to receive communications or because you have moved.

By unsubscribing to emails, you will no longer receive email notifications (newsletters, day-to-day communications, and emergency notifications).

How to Submit the Census Form:

Please follow the instructions located at the bottom of the form. For your convenience, it can be mailed, faxed, or emailed to our team.
